NPower versus Sounthern Electric????

I recently switched providers after using the Uswitch comparison site. USwitch estimated a few hundred pounds savings by moving to NPower from Southern Electric which although I was impressed thought was rather a lot howver if it brought my astonomical gas bills down is was a go.

Southern Electric have just called and said that by their estimations NPower was going to actually cost me about 3% more than them and they could guarantee my bills would not go any higher.

I've not had my first bill off NPower so I can't say if this is the case as yet but if so...how can USwitch get it so very, very wrong? To go from saving upto £300 to actually costing me more.

Anyone else switched from these providers yet and seen the benefits?

Try using https://www.energyhelpline.com to get the best electricity/gas deal.

I find that https://www.ebico.co.uk (equigas/equipower) has a good tariff and they don't penalise you for paying quartely or even having a pre-payment meter!

  • Thanks I'll do that!

The whole thing drives me up the wall, think I'll buy a wood burning stove and some solar panels and tell them all to stuff off!! LOL

Until then I'll keep searching :p

Just sit at home and freeze - that's cheaper still!
