Southern Ireland postcode grrr...

in Ebay, auctions, car boot sales, post & parcels
Sold an item this weekend on ebay to a bloke in Cork. Before he paid he wanted an updated invoice for the airmail. So I worked it out and sent it him. He paid.

I've just come to do the postage via Paypal (as I always do) and it wants a postcode even tho it's set to International Airmail.

they don't have postcodes in Southern Ireland though. :confused:

    Can you not just type in something made up like X00 0XX or something? It's not like it's actually going to need it or use it, is it?

    Dunno. cos with Paypal postage it spits ouf a POP certificate for you to get stamped at the PO counter. So they may refuse to stamp it.

    A few areas of ROI do have postcodes Dublin and some other areas.. I would consider just puttind 0s in

    I know lots of places have Districts, which are D1, D21, D3 etc...

    We've had this problem. I tried putting a fake postcode in, and it just got stuck in a loop, insisting on me putting a genuine postcode in the box... which is impossible, obviously. In the end, we just stuck normal stamps on it :D
    Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.
