Christmas Hampers

Hello,

for christmas i have decided to do my sis and her partner and BIL &SIL a hamper each.

i have already got a box of choc and some small packets of shortbread to go in them, and also an original source moisturising body scrub (was only 70 each in netto yest :D)

I was thinking of popping some other toiletries, and 2 small bottles of wine perhaps (1 glass ones)

apart from that im a bit stuck, didnt wanna spend too much and so far got the bits i have got from pound shop and netto... any other ideas....
Please be nice to all moneysavers!

Oooh good idea for thread! Im thinking of hampers this year too, never know what to get ppl, and a few bits and bobs in a hamper box is a lovely idea. Do you know what kinds of things these ppl are into?

    hello,

i was wondering that no one had replied as i didnt get any notifications... does it not still automatically add a subscription for a thread your start/post on???

anyway, gonna go have a look at that pictures thread...and the dvd's are a good idea too

hmm..what are they into... well unfortunately my sis's partner does his utmost to avoid spending time with her unless he is after you know what.. couldnt give a stuff about his son either...

SIL & BIL are tricky, again they dont really do time together.... and are both quite volatile...

they have all had a pretty rough year also.

im hoping to give them both something that encourages them to spend a couple of nice hours relaxing together on christmas/boxing day...and to remember why they got together in the first place!

well those are my intentions anyway... :D

i got my baskets from my mil who got them from her social club. sometimes morrisons do them but they are tricky to find!!

i have seen cellophane on lakeland, 1.79 for 2 bag type things but i have read on her you can buy rolls from ebay or even get some from florists? i havent tried though, but prob wirth a go!

Thanks for that pebbles : ) Will have a look on ebay, but youve reminded me that i could probably get a lot of the decoration for it, ribbons, cellophane and the actual boxes from country baskets, i think hobby craft and the like will be quite expensive. And you could probably pick up some nice fancy boxes from car boot and charity shops!!!

Awww i really do hope that your plan works! So lovely of you to do that :) Hopefully, there will be plenty of love in the room once youve worked your magic!!! LOL

Doing hampers sounds like a good idea, hopefully will save a few pennies too seeing as I don't have a job now. Just wondering, does everyone use wicker type baskets (thats the imagine I have in my head anyway) or is there anything else that a hamper could be made up in but not look too cheap?
