The whole point of buying ex-display items is that they are sold at a discount precisely because they are very likely to be damaged or marked in some way. We have several times bought damaged items, but only if the damage was not likely to be visible where we were installing them.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

the only time youy could claim is in the event that the item had failed and could not be repaired under the terms of the g'tee.

when i was working at said retailer - we always invited the customer to look around the exdisplay item to ensure that they were happy with it. Usualy with things like washing machines - the damage was limited to the sides where they had been put on display - 99% of the time this would be hidden by units...

if the item was further damaged during transit then you should be able to get a refund - but not swap it for a brand new item unless its of similar value (known as a refund-resell)
