I took out a Yes car credit financial agreement to get a car back in 2002. I got a car that was worth £3500 max, I traded in my car too, but the loan agreement worked out over £7000. I was stupid and nieve at this time, I was only 18, past my driving test and was in the Royal navy with good wage so just wanted a car instantly.
Anyways I paid this off using a loan from LLoyds, but even so I still paid via Yes car credit for a while.
Im sure this company would of added on PPI as the robbing people charge anything they can.
Problem is the depot i got it from isnt open no more, I have no paper work on them, I dont know my account details or nothing. Plus im not even sure who to contact about claiming back the PPI. Now i just found this off their website?
So im not sure who to contact, also im not sure if I would be able to contact them without any details? Please help me

Hi hun
You could contact the Financial ombudsman services "Customer services dept or so", to ask them.
I imagine they have dealt with lots of peeps in the same situation as you, with not knowing who to contact to reclaim.
Give the FOS a ring tomorrow or whenever you have the time, and explain to them and they should be able to help, fingers crossed.

Hopefully, someone will post up with the details for you as well, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

lol I am so unsure of this whole finacialy world lol.
Im not even sure if it will be possible to claim from them as it was 7 years ago, But i am determined to get every penny off the people i have dealt with in the past who have over charged for things

Your welcome beth.;)
Many have rang them, if they don't know where to go with it, and the details of whom to contact, as they deal with it everyday they should have the details there.
I would defo give it a go hun, again there have been success going back even from earlier years, so go for it.XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

Paul, thanks for that link, I have had a read through and it has made me more determined to fight for my PPI back

I got the car from Yes car credit in Brislington in bristol, But according to their website they dont own one in that area anymore, I was wondering If I called the other local depot whether they would have any details of me?
They probably shifted my name as soon as the loan was paid as they such a dodgy company

Beth3735 - This is the address that i sent my SAR to, ensure that you do not sign your name & send redorded delivery so that you have proof the letter was sent & signed for when it was delivered!.
My initial complaint letter was sent in March 09 & they will reply with you signed this agreement, your recollection of the facts now appear to be very vivid, we were not FSA authorised at the time etc etc. Be prepared for a long & hard fight with Caroline Dixon & her cronies! But do not give up ( My case is still ongoing, currently with the FOS ) You may also be able to get more information & specialised help at 'Saynotoyes''Dont Bury Your Head In The Sand As Your Problems Will Still Exist'

Yes, if you do not have the number just put in as much detail as possible ( Rough date that the agreement started / finished, which branch etc )
In my opinion Do Not speak to these people on the telephone unless you are able to record the conversation!
I have been told that a signature maybe 'lifted' & used against you, have heard just to print your name or sign it & put a line through it so that you would recognise it again.
Hope this helps?!'Dont Bury Your Head In The Sand As Your Problems Will Still Exist'

Really !!!! I find this very hard to comprehend. Where did you hear about the lifting of signatures. A very risky process for a financial insttitution to undertake as it constitutes fraud and if they got caught doing this process then the implications could be very severe.
Having said that, in this day and age of money orientation, nothing surprises me.If you see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck !!!!!!
