    BLAST!!
Got the Hitachi one today from my local. There was the advert for the Bush one, but no mention anywhere for the free MP3 player.

Happy with the Hitachi Good sound and picture. What is the Bush one like. Does it have USB as per Argos online? (Hitachi does not) if so what can you do with the USB? Playback only or record as well?

If so may take Hitachi back for the Bush!

Bush A319 do have a USB port however, I think it is playback only. Just looked at the manual and it talks about playing videos, pics etc via USB but no mention of record. Hope this helps

Looking into this, may well be taking the hitachi one back, Hitachi do not make this tv themselves it appears to be a generic rebadges tv (as per info I can find on google etc...). I tried a Technika one previously the other day from Tesco and guess what... its the same TV just slightly different casing!!!
After being on for a couple hours, Blue seems to be overpowing on pictures.

Reserving the Bush one now and swapping over tomorrow!!!

Remember to get your free MP3 player too. Not sure about how it's advertised in the store but if reserve/order it online you need to click special offer link on the page, it says 'Free 8GB MP3 player when you buy this TV. To receive this offer add both items to your trolley. Offer ends 3rd November 2009'

Does anyone know what the viewing angle is like on this one? The tv is for my daughters room and will viewed from a bit of an angle, any others cheap tv's we have tried have looked awful unless watched head on.
  • This doesn't have a DVD player but who cares you can get a load more movies on a usb stick and hopefully I can link to my wireless setup (Extra software needed) so I can stream off the pc.
    Bargain
  • I ordered this over the weekend and picked it up today. When they brought it out it was a Wharfedale make, not Bush but they said it was exactly the same.

I've now got it home, unpacked it, and found that it doesn't have the same spec and there is no USB socket. It will be going back !

Can anyone confirm if this TV can play DIVX movies via the USB slot? I've reserved one, not sure to pick it up or not!

    thanks

None of the names mentioned so far on this thread manufacture TVs, they are old marketing names stuck on generic items to make you think you are supporting the old brand, which no longer exists.

Even Grundig is used by the Alba group ( who have Bush and Goodmans). ;)

  • Wen bought a 27 inch LCD flat screen Bush tv from Argos a few years ago. It was great or so we thought until the pixels started dying and we ended up with lines all across the screen making it unwatchable. This happened under 2 years of having the tv and to fix it Argos said it would cost nearly as much as a new telly. We bought a well priced Panasonic LCD flatscreen from Asda as a replacement , roughly the same sized screen. Far better picture in the first place and two years later its still going fine.

Sorry but I would never buy another Bush telly no matter how good the price is.
