Cancer Research rep, Is it a breach of DPA?

Well he's blocked her now so hopefully she's go away, if she turns up on our doorstep or phones him then I think we'll have to take it further, he's also emailed Cancer Reaserch and Home Fundraising to make a complaint about her. It creeps me out tho, she could be perfectly nice and not mean any harm but then again she might not be.0

Was she good looking and if so can i have her facebook address
All joking aside i hope you get this sorted..one of the famous 50 -
You might want to go to the press and see if they're interested? It sounds a lot like the BT employee that wrote down a customer's phone number and sent inappropriate text messages, the press were certainly interested in that.0

The bloke who sold me my mobile phone many years ago then rang me on it to ask me out. To be honest he was quite cute so I didn't complain and went out with him! But he admitted he was taking a risk and doing something he could get the sack for. This woman sounds like a nightmare. One thing to contact and see if he's interested; quite another to pester him once he's said he's not!0

I don't think i'd take it to the press because Cancer Research is a charity and i'm sure their doing excellent work, I would hate for this woman to hinder them raising money for whats clearly a worthy cause.
We've had an email from the company she works/ed for saying that there will be a full investigation into the matter and they will keep us informed.
O/H was flattered at first but thought once he's set her straight she'd leave him alone, I think he's really more angry that she works for Cancer Research because he has lost loved ones to cancer and it's something thats very close to his heart.0 -
Last year, the Fundraising Standards Board cleared Cancer Research after complaints that they were sending out too many free pens. This month, they announced that they were to resume using Pell and Bales as telephone fundraisers after one of their canvassers said 'brilliant' when a women he telephoned for support told him she had cancer.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

Ah, this reminds me of an old sales job I had where a potential customer was texting me after I had a meeting with her.
Nailed her rotten, I did.
Those were the days.0 -
Just a simple point - NEVER GIVE YOU BANK DETAILS AT THE DOOR!!!
Even if they are genuine they could lose, be mugged etc so that your dteails go all over the place. These people are usually paid for every deal they get & con often work for justa few days, can you really trust them
If you want to donate do so direct but never give your details at the door.
Gnever take advice from broke or unsuccessful people
