Hi,

I wasn't sure where to post my question. Have bought our 6 year old a Hannah Montana MP3 Player for Christmas and would like to put a few of her favourite songs on it before the big day. Specifically from where can I download songs for it? and preferably legal and of course free would be even better if such a thing exists.

Thanks. If it helps I would love to put Girls Alouds songs on it, the Fast Food Song and few HSM and Hannah Montana tunes.

Hope you can help me. THANK YOU.

  • Legal is rarely, if ever, free. If you know the record labels those artists are signed to you should be able to download the MP3s from their sites.

iTunes has a 'single of the week' every Tuesday which is free.

New of The World are currently offering 10 free downloads from the Nokia store. AFAIK they can be transferred to mp3 :)

    Hi,
I am afraid I cannot recommend any free download site (as most of them are illegal!) but I use amazon.co.uk, there is an mp3 download section of the site, and i have found them to be cheap enough, some tracks i have downloaded have been between 29p - 69p per track which i dont mind paying. Otherwise, do you or anyone you know have Girls Aloud/ Hannah Montana CD's? As you can simply rip these to the mp3 player for free! I know this isn't the best solution, but if you know people with the CD's I am sure they wouldn't mind lending you them for a Christmas present!

Unfortunatly Its mainly unsigned and new bands but will still be some good stuff here.
  • Limewire, illegal but free.

Then there's the apple store, amazon, tesco to name a few!

I love my ipod, I've learnt how to download videos from you tube and convert them and put them on my ipod.

I can't wait for the amazon's kindle to become available in the UK!

Thank you everyone. Does anyone know why the threads I have created or responded to are not showing under my User CP?

    2. We are going to switch everyone's automatic thread subscription setting to "Do not subscribe". If you want to change this,. you will need to go into your User CP - Edit Options - Messaging & Notification section and change the setting back.

  • My Dear Old Mum (almost 70) borrows the albums that she likes from the library for £1 per week. She then downloads the songs she wants to her computer and from there to her iPod. One Groovy Granny  :D

No idea about whether or not that's legal, but it works for her.

Could you beg /[STRIKE]steal[/STRIKE] / borrow the music from people you know?

7digital have lots of free downloads, but they are usually for unsigned bands etc.

Have a look at http://www.comparedownload.com/ Where you can check prices of songs you want, as they can vary from site to site.

Is it the Sony Walkman one you've bought? I have one (not Hannah Montana) and it's great.
