I have some items on ebay as i type but have just received an email from an ebay member saying that I am not allowed to charge for acceptin paypal as payment. I charge 5% on paypal and have done for ages but she says she will report me for this.
Who's right? I can't find anything on ebay stating that it is not allowed

Thanks Juno, I was unaware of his, what would you advise. If I change my listing now, I will be charged full price instead of the 5p listing day price?I haven't got one!0

If you're just editting the description and payment info, you shouldn't be charged extra. You only get charged extra if you add bits, like extra pictures, that do incur an extra charge,

Yes you would be charged the full listing fee if you were to make any alterations to your auction.
If I were you I would email the eBay member back and apologise and say you were unaware of it and also to ignore the part that mentions a 5% charge for PayPal.
Perhaps in future listings you could completely remove any mention to a PayPal surcharge.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Juno I think the OP will be charged the full insertion fee because he/she obviously listed it last Tuesday when insertion fees were just 5p and if he/she were to make any alterations to the auction today it would know that today wasn't a promo day and subsequently charge extra.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I've done it before and it didn't. But I suppose the best thing to do is try to change it, and then on the last page it tells you if anything extra will be charged and you can cancel if necessary.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I can't change it as it has less than 12 hours to run. I have e-mailed back with an apology and that I would obviously not charge the extra to the high bidder.I haven't got one!0

you cannot charge for paypal, but you do see many people boost their postage costs up by 50pence and say in postage bit 'p&p includes handling'
not saying that this is what you should do, but be aware that many sellers do it, if you choose to do it you will be joining a majority of sellers. as long as postage is reasonable (i always see how much is being charged for similar items by other sellers to make sure i am charging appropriatly) you should have no problems.:kisses2:0 -
Thanks, I always try to keep postage costs at a minimum as it flippin' annoys me when you want to bid on something like a ten page book and the postage charge is £3!I haven't got one!0
