Only if you want to connect wirelessly. You can connect by using an ethernet cable too, either to a router or directly to your PC if close enough, or using a pair of ethernet homeplug adapters.
The dongle I linked to is wireless G (up to 54M) which is good enough for most things short of HD quality. If you want to stream HD material wirelessly, you need the newer wireless n version which is about £65.
What is it you want to use DNLA for?
Browsing on my TV0 -
You can't 'browse' as such as there is no internet browser for Samsung TV's. You can 'browse' after a fashion using widgets for things like youtube, flickr, news, weather and a few other things but other than youtube and flickr (so far), it's a fairly limited capability. Hopefully, new widgets might be developed which change that. On-demand widgets such as iPlayer and 4OD would be killer applications IMO.There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

That would allow you to use your TV as the display for your laptop. If your laptop is connected to the internet, then you would be able to browse. This however, has nothing to do with DLNA.There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
