I have done a couple of less than favourable reviews, and they are still there too.0

Tripadvisor do provide a "contact point for its "members" to query its decisions."
I had someone try to copy my username and write a fabulous review of an awful hotel I critiqued. My review was open and honest and I gave a very balanced review of the good and bad...
Anyway, I contacted tripadvisor, they agreed with me that someone had tried very hard to copy my username to make it look like I had stayed there again and thought very highly of it! They removed the ficticious review.
Once you have signed in (top right hand corner), scroll to the very bottom where it says 'help centre'. Search the help centre for Help Center Forums, Suggestion Box, Tell Us What You Think, I have a suggestion to help make TripAdvisor Better then click on 'contact us'.
yes, it is convoluted - however, they try to get you to scan the help pages first.
or even better, just click here http://www.tripadvisor.com/ContactUs?topic=tell_us_what_you_think
I imagine you'll get a quicker response if you're signed in tho.0 -
Or you can just email support@tripadvisor.com. For the forums it's forumsupport@tripadvisor.com, for photos it's photosupport@tripadvisor.com. You get the idea.Male.

Sincere thanks to everyone who posted here. I've just penned a reply addressing various points raised only for it to vanish entirely from the screen. Like my TA review. I do however know that I'm not paranoid because those who are watching me keep saying so.
Seriously though: my TA comment was submitted late July when we returned from our Continental travels and published on TA early August. It was still there mid-September, the last time I looked. During its six or so weeks of publication 'life' TA managed to bombard me with a plethora of emails about this and that, but not one about my comment.
How did I discover the comment had vanished?
Well, that's the weird thing: TA's latest email to me was, it said, tailored to my destinations of interest (i.e., the cities within which were the hotels I've commented on in the past year.)
One of the cities was, naturally enough, home to the hotel I'd criticised: the only hotel in that city I've ever reviewed. So I clicked on the link to that city and idly scrolled through the latest reviews. And then discovered, mine wasn't there. Nor was it in my TA posting history, the total of which had suddenly gone down by one.
So TA accept a review, run the review, even follow up with a "tailored email" to me about the city within which the reviewed hotel is located. . . but delete the review from both its site and my posting history. With no reference to me.
I do wonder: had the review related to a privately-owned small hotel, and not a property within the portfolio of a global hotel group with a legal department very sensitive to its branding, if the same vanishing act would've occurred.
Anyway. Special thanks to LemonGrove and GoldenJill: I couldn't find any point of contact on TA so am very grateful to them for the info.
And now, I'm off to chase up those links.
Thank you again.0 -
There are no such restrictions on MSE on genuine reviews, so tell us!! and re do your review on TA.0

yorksrabbit I haven't had the same problem with Tripadvisor that you have had, but one grievance I have with it is that sometimes after submitting a review it simply seems to vanish from the site with no trace. Luckily I save them and re-submit them when this happens, and they are always approved.Male.
