My CDrom/drive is not working again and Dr Watson says that Mmsystem.dll not listed in the boot, please can anyone tell me how to remedy this. Am just about to chuck this pc against the wall:mad:

    Try installing the file from here http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/M/mmsystem.dll/3.10/download.html

    You will have to put it into the correct folder and unzip if needed to.

    Now which PC is this for Win98?

    Yes and I feel so ashamed to be asking all these questions this pc has run ok for 2 or 3 years, all this has happened since I removed Win98 by error and had it reinstalled and then me installing avg .

    The slightest change to anything is throwing everything out of joint.

    I am not just asking for help on this board I am exploring all venues such as 'help' on pc and on the net.

    Ummmmmm deliberately thought it'd be easy to put it back, took the guy 3 hours remember me telling you?
