Old fashioned door curtain pole

Does anyone know where I could buy a cheap curtain pole that you place behind a door for a curtain to go on. They automatically lift the curtain when the door is opened. I saw some on the google site but they were very expensive ie £69. Thanks in advance

If you can afford to try to get one with metal rings as I had one that was plastic & the rings kept breaking. I have the same curtain with a metal rod & rings & had no probs.
  • Don't know where you are, but I saw some in Dunelm (Trafford, Manchester) today, reduced to £10.99 from about double. Almost bought one till I remembered the door I want it for is uPVC and it has to be fastened to the door itself.

Wow! Cheers for this, I have been looking for something to do this for ages now

I had another solution planned, curtains on the other side of the door opening...to allow cat entry when door ajar...but this is perfect for a couple of rooms where I can't do that. :j
