Hmm its a grey area....in the OR's handbook a cleaner is a luxury item no matter what circumstances....i've known 3 people in the past be refused and that was with medical proof as well...

Its worth trying to get anything you need, as you say the worse that can happen is they will say no.

The person i know not only was disabled but had cronic asthma too, it was important her house was clean and free of dust.

I know of one person who was allowed due to getting the higher rate of DLA

If he says no, it really doesn't matter as he is on benefits so no IPA.

i have checked car with hp company, they have no problem at all as long as payments are made but if i cant afford the repayments they will sort something out or it can go back no problem. the dr will sign latter if needed. insurance also have no problem i have checked. i.will get there in end me thinks. thanks for more info.;) oh cleaner only does 3 hrs a week.
