Try CIS, (cooperative Insurance Society) they have in the past been pretty good with young drivers.
Most companies charge extra for credit over a year so if you can afford it best to pay up front.

That is often recomended.
If you want to see the benefit then ask the insurers how much your insurance would be reduced by.0
