Website offering mega cheap electricals

Just wanting to check if anyone else has had any experience or heard of a website called buytv.biz - they claim to be located in China selling Korean manufactured electrical goods offering mega reductions in electricals - my DH wants to buy from them but i am very sceptical - they only accept Western Union or direct back-to-bank account paymnents. you can through their website chat online to an 'online worker' but i am still reluctant to send our hard earned cash with no fall back.

is this a scam?

Cheers

unless you can afford to gamble and possibly loose this money i would walk away, my BIL had a "cracking deal" on a tv from poland to be paid through the same methods and kissed good bye to his money. if it sounds too good - i dont have to tell you the rest!

Mega-cheap fake electricals, I think you will find. Especially if it's ipods, USB sticks and well, just about anything.

Personally I'd give them a miss. Using the www.who.is website to check the web address shows that their details are not all that they could be.

I think that says it all. You OH would be better off flushing your money down the toilet than using this company

 I discovered this morning a stack of 'returned' emails but thankfully one had replied to 'my' email suspecting the worst. Hence I could find out the source. What's the best thing to do now? I am also on AOL. Is it just us who have this address book problem? Can we report it to anyone?
  • Buytv.biz hacked into my email and sent their spam using my email to all of my contacts. I had one day to be in Denver, so I sent half a dozen inquiries to craigs listed items I was interested in and that spammer sent their spam to those craigs list folks. So, of course, not one responded back to me since my email was sending them spam! God I hate them. It took a lot of time to go through the ads, and they ruined the trip for me. I don't understand why AOL can't block them from doing this. They get onto the AOL news comment sites and somehow get our information off of that! I did report it, but they didn't sound like they are going to stop them. AOL just told me to change my password, but the damage is done.
