Does uswitch actually save you money?

You get to these price comparison websites enter all your details some of which isn't easy to find?
It seems to give you any impressive list of suppliers and services. However when you actual go into all the fine detail (i.e. Price per until of Gas & Electricity, Standing charges,..) you find out you are best off where you are.
And then Gov. wonder why no one is switching.

There are finer details that you have to double-check. Misleading superficial details such as price per unit and standing charges are not some of them. Variance with different consumptions is a far bigger problem.
But you are half right to be cautious.0 -
Welcome to the forum.
The comparison website are not there to provide a service, their sole objective is to get you to switch and make commission.
That said if you enter the annual consumption in kWh - and not what you pay - they will give accurate information.0 -

Most people can save money if they switch away from their legacy supplier & tariff.
In January 2008, the BBC reported that about 50% of customers have never switched.

Of course, if you are one of the 50% who has switched, then perhaps you are now on the best deal, especially is you switched recently.
However, it's always worth checking from time to time, not only when prices change across the board, but because suppliers are introducing new tariffs in the meantime."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
If I'd stayed with my existing supplier this year instead of switching it could have cost me £250 + !!!!0
