:mad: I placed an order online on my SIL's behalf for an iPod Touch for her son (my Godson) for his birthday. The site says delivery 2-3 days and also gave you the option of choosing which day.
I chose today (Friday) as this was within 2-3 days and I do not know if they will be at home tomorrow - am having it delivered direct.
By the time I got to the end of the order process (and with no way back!) the confirmation showed delivery for NEXT Friday.
I immediately sent off an email pointing out that I had in fact selected THIS Friday and not next and as it was for a birthday please could they confirm delivery for THIS Friday.
I got a response JUST NOW - 5.10pm on Friday saying oops, no its down for next week so do you want to cancel your order.
I have called Customer Services 3 times in total as the first 2 times I got hung up on.
I asked for a manager on the third call and finally got to speak to one whose only permitted response seems to be "sorry, we can't do that".
I am disgusted at their lack of interest and lack of ability to offer anything remotely resembling Customer service.
I suggest you all find alternative suppliers if you want hassle free shopping.

And I suggest you read the order details before you hit the submit button.0

Actually I did.
Fully, slowly and completely.
Do you have anything useful to say?0 -
Probably not. Just considering the two possibilities here, either:
A) You selected the correct Friday and Dixons website allowed you to choose that day and then for some unknown reason that was of no benefit to anybody decided to change it to the following Friday after you'd clicked on "Submit Order" (or whatever the button is called). It didn't decide to change it to Saturday, or Monday, or any other day that would have made more sense, but chose the following Friday
OrYou selected the wrong Friday (easily done)
I know which one sounds much more likely.0 -
Interestingly they've since admitted a fault on their system.
