Have no money in account but getting charged a fee on monday

My natwest account is charging me £38 on monday because of an unpaid item fee, anyway I wanted to ask what will happen when they try and take it out when I havn't got any money in there?

They'll take it out, and charge you even more for being in an unauthorised overdraft. They may also close your account/report missed payment to credit reference agencies.0

They will still take it out, they are doing it to me as well, but i am sure i read that from the 4th of october the charges are coming down0

The charges have indeed come down but they come in force on the charging periods started after the 4th October however you may have some luck in getting those charges reduced even if they are for a previous charging period.0
