PSU definitely outputting power to the components? Had you not already mentioned the PSU, I'd have suggested that first...0

I changed it with a working one but nothing. Even with lesser wattage it should have lit up something.
Yes one green light switches on inside the pc labelled as Power supply LED, this happens with both PSU though.

You may want to test PSU and the power cable with a multimeter - if you have access to one.
If power is being sent to the motherboard then check the pc's on/off switch with multimeter.0 -
You're obviously okay with opening the pc up, have you checked the lead between the on/off switch and the mother board?0

Also give the on/off switch a few dabs - they sometimes stick.
After that disconnect reseat the graphics card and RAM.
After that disconnect everything not needed to get as far as the BIOS screen - hard drive, CD, floppy, USB devices, as many RAM modules as you can.0 -
Disconnected the power going into the motherboard and checked the on/off switch function there all ok. Will trywhat you suggested Davb.

Er, on the multi coloured cables coming from the PSU, on the 20/24 way plug there is a green wire, momentarily take that that any "black" wire to turn on the PSU. Just make up a shorting link from a bit of wire. Er, be careful too.....0
