Balance transfer twice??

Hi all

I currently have two credit cards. Credit Card 1 has £1000 and i would like to transfer the balance to Credit Card 2 which has 0% on transfers.

Once I have done this can i use Credit card 1 again to buy something and then transfer the balance again onto Credit Card 2 to take advantage of the 0%??

So long as you transfer the additional amount within the BT period. I.e. your BT card will have a date up to which you can make transfers that will attract the promotional rate. After this transfers would attract interest at the normal rate.

May I ask which two credit cards are involved?

You could always balance transfer a little too much if you are going to make the purchases straight away as this will come out of the credit on the 2nd credit card.

Bear in mind some credit cards don't allow this though or penalise you so you would need to name the cards or check their t&c's.

Unless these purchases equate to a very large amount it's not really worth it though unless you can't afford to pay the blaance in full.

Does the 0% balance transfer card not offer 0% on purchases as well?
