Argghhhhh, don't get northern rock, i specifically phone them and ask if payments under £500 did not count towards borrowback and this was confirmed, but just checked my account and that £40.47 has been added to my borrow back!

And it's my birthday :) - Still check my balance as this months payment has come off :) - sad or what LoL

Sorted this stupid confusing overpayments problem

You have to have at least £500 in overpayments before you can borrow back, not an overpayment of at least £500 counts towards borrow back!

    back to original plan then....

    Thanks :)

Now task today is to phone Nr and see if all those overpayments can get added to the borrow back!

** Edit - Well no joy with them, something about contractual agreement on the payments, what should have happened was the monthly payment reduced, but the difference set up separately - something that was not made clear to me at the time. :(

At least i caught this now, so from now on all overpayments are added to the borrow back amount!

Not that i do much match betting anymore as... ermmmm lets say i am not welcome at a lot of bookies anymore Lol - but as it was my birthday i got a few free bets, luckily bust out in one on most of them, so have another £47ish to add to the pot, will add this when all money is returned!

Still can't get my spread sheet to tally up with my totalls from NR though! Nr's website is very fast at updating, overpayments come off the next day! - So have to spend some time figuring this one out!

Got around to sorting our mobile pay monthly contracts - got double the minutes & text for £5 less :T.

So that's an extra £10 saved and switching our current accounts the weekend to halifax which will add another £15 rewards a month, so £25 more towards overpayments :)

Well sorted those Halifax accounts, went in on Saturday and the systems were down (The whole country apparently) So had to fill in 6 account forms by hand - have not written so much in years LoL.

Accounts will be fully open on the 6th as this is when their new basic account will be available.

Hope to god our DD don't get messed up, i'll have to keep a very beady eye on them!

I have not paid any extra, extra payment this month as i have bought some Xmas things, like Turkey crown, ham etc.

I surged over the £1000 cash back amount today with Quidco :) - Wife's on £990 LoL

Should have some cashback de for payment in January

Also i keep checking my mortgage online each day, i know nothing will change until the 1st of each month, but i still do it, maybe i am hoping it goes down somehow on it's own :rotfl:
  • That is great going with quidco deefadog. I thought i was doing well with £140....lol. I have found that all the small savings from quidco, tesco points, cashback credit cards etc have really made a difference. Keep it up!!!
