New Nissan Note

Our new Nissan note has a gap between passenger side sill and bottom of door.
The driver side is fitting together perfectly.
We have looked on garage forcourts and most Notes have a gap in the same place of varying degrees of width.
We have seen one with a perfect fitting joint but only one.
We can get a finger in the gap on ours and have contacted Nissan customer service.
They say because most of the Notes have a gap one side it isnt a fault.
Surely if one side can be made with a perfect joint then both sides should be fitting perfectly ??
This stands out like a sore thumb..any advise where to go next would be gratefully received.
The car is 5 weeks old.

Do you mean a gap between the bottom of the door and the door apperture?
All vehicles have a gapping specification. You might be able to get this from Nissan UK head office. If the vehicle is not to specification, then I'm sure they will have no issues with you rejecting it.
Or is the door simply not central in the apperature and simply needs adjusting to even out the gaps top & bottom? If so, and presuming the hinges are welded on as they are with most modern cars, then a door adusting tool is required...
... more commonly known as a piece of 4"x2" wood!"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
