How long is "a reasonable time" under the SOGA?

Sale of Goods act just states that faulty goods should be replaced or refunded in a reasonable time. They don't state what a reasonable time is.
Is it unreasonable to expect a replacement for goods that are faulty from new within 7 days?
Credit card companies won't start a charge back until the retailer has had 30 days to replace or refund goods that are faulty from new. Do we take that to mean 30 days is the reasonable amount of time under the SOGA? Of course, that doesn't mean you get a refund in 30 days, just that you can start the process with the credit card company.

It entirely depends what the goods are, how difficult they are to get hold of, how difficult the fault is to diagnose etc etc.0

I agree, it varies depending on what the product is...hence no defined time.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
The following question is easier to answer than what you have asked:
How long is a piece of string?
:PIf it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I do not wish to sound abrupt - BUT ..... if you Google "Sale of Goods Act"
the very first hit, of 3.45 million, is always: http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/consumers/fact-sheets/page38311.html
Which answers your question - and 99% percent of the other questions that keep cropping up about SoGA !0 -
The curry I had last night gave me a headache, who do I sue?0

Only half way, after that it's running out of the woods...
Those woods belong to me, and I'll be suing you if I sniff a minute scent of dog wee on my wild flowers. :mad:There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

My bear, while doing what bears do in the woods, tripped up and hurt his paw, I intend to demand compensation."Love you Dave Brooker! x"
