How do you hang your net curtains when you have upvc windows

I am trying to hang some nets at my sons window. I tried the spring loaded rail but to get it to fit tight it just bulges out in the middle. It fell down yet again the other day. Am I doing something wrong?
Didn't really want to use the screw hooks and wires because it will damage the window frames. Is there anything else I can try?????

Most curtain shops sell extending poles (not spring loaded) that rest on stick on bits ( although I had to reglue mine after they fell off)Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

iI'm having new windows fitted, made in the same material. the problem is that one of these windows is 4 yards across, and the other is a large bay. i don't think there's anyway to get either net curtains or proper curtain poles to fit unless i screw them into the new frame.:( Or is there?ok, so i'm hot...

Do they have a support in the middle? Otherwise don't they fall down?0 -
depending on the width and the quality of the pole they might droop a little - using 2 lengthen might get around it, but suspect it would leave a little gap
would guess there is a way of supporting it somehowAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
a cup hook screwed into the wooden window surround above will support it in the middle, weel works for my 9ft window downstairs, upstairs I have stick on holders, but they do have to be re glued at intervals.0

Mine have little right angle hooks screwed into the actual window but it doesnt show (obviously, as its behind a curtain) and it doesnt go in far enough to do any damage ( i hope) and then an adjsutable length brass rod just sit on them. Looks okay I tihnk.

Maybe pop into a curtain place and ask what they suggest - this problem is bound to be quite common. I think in my last place they were attached to the top of the window recess, ie the horizontal piece of plaster into which the window is set so they hung from above the window rather than from the windowframe...I hope you know what I mean! I'd be v.reluctant to screw or hammer anything into the frames, no matter how small or delicate the fitting might seem - if there is a guarantee with the windows then doing this might make it void.0

we had this problem with a heavy metal blind when we had new windows.OH put a piece of wood above the pvc frame and we papered and painted it to match the wall and then hung the blind from it.0

Our nets are on a wire which is screwed into the curtain rail that is outside and above the window recess, if that makes sense.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0

I have a huge window, I think it's 3 metres, and I tried all methods but then I found a new type pole thingy. It's like a fat rod and you screw one end out until it is slightly longer than the window and then push it to fit. It is only spring loaded at one end. Bit hard to describe really but I got it from a curtain shop so it might be worthwhile having a good look round. It was quite expensive, about £16 I think but it does work and doesn't sag. HTH0
