Additions Direct: £5 off + Free P+P

I recently used an additions £5 off & P&P code no spend specified. I bought something for £5 and unsurprisingly a few weeks later my credit card was debited £8.50!
Very annoyed I rang them (0845 number) & was told they would refund the postage only. I said no that wasn't good enough as I had the leaflet to prove it. Presumably they didn't believe me & told me to send them a copy of the leaflet which I did. A week later they phoned to say I will be refunded in the next 8 days.
They may not specify a minimum spend but they obviously don't like it when you spend a small amount. I won't bother doing it again - too much hassle!

I remember a code sent to me (I think £10 off and free postage no min spend)jaydani wrote:They may not specify a minimum spend but they obviously don't like it when you spend a small amount. I won't bother doing it again - too much hassle!
I posted it on here (didn't use it myself) and lots of people had trouble getting additions to honour the code.
I wouldn't trust their codes as far as I can throw them. You'll probably spen more on phonecalls to them than what the discount was worth.:mad:Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

They charged me the full amount but when I emailed them asking why the code was not honoured. They said they will honour the code & will refund the full amount. So free £5+ free delivery this time. I did not have to show them the code (from parenting magazine) at all. I am still waiting to get the item ordered though.:T0 -
I have just checked my online credit card balance and from my order the other day using this code and it seems that I have a pending transaction of £11.50 which I what I spent on there, will have to wait and see what happensWork like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

They charged me the full amount as well! I phoned the helpline and the £8.50 has been credited back to my credit card without any problems.
I have kept the original leaflet with the code on, in case anybody has any difficulties with Additions honouring the code.0 -

He creditied the £8.50 to my account, I said I dont want an account, I paied by card and I want the money on the card. He eventually put it on my card, no question of where I got the code from, think saying a parenting mag and having a baby wingeing in the backgroud helped

I emailed to ask why I had been charged the full ammount and got this back, is what they are saying true, I no longer have the leaflet.
The criteria for promotion code D6BR was that the goods had to ordered from the main Spring/Summer catalogue where the second letter of all catalogue numbers is 'J'. As you order wasn't from this book the code could not be applied. Thanks Louise0 -
Got my shirt today though! Shirt is worth £19..was on offer for £6. Using the code I paid £1. Not bad0
