Yes Car Credit PPI

Hi
I am new to this as i have only just signed in for the first time so bare with me. My problem started in 2003 when i needed a car straight away due to finding myself a job after being made redundant. I went down to yes car credit at warrington as they said you could drive away with your car the same day. Everything went ok till it came to sign for the credit, up popped the PPI i was not happy with this as it added about £1,200 to the credit agreement. I then informed them that i did not want this, and there answer to this was if you want the car today you have to sign it and as i was needing the car that day i signed it.

About 2 years ago i saw all this thing kick off about PPI and decided that i had a claim (or thought) so i had a company do this for me. All seemed to be going well and it was passed on to the obudsman. But was rejected as at the time they where not regulated by the FSA. Is there anything i can do as i know that i was forced into this unfairley?

So did the company not follow this up for you then? So if they did not then this company only did for you what you could do for yourself in that they wrote a complaint off and sent to FOS. How long ago was it dismissed by FOS. Did the company not then take this to court for you or offer to take this to court?

I would personallly ask the FOS if they will tell you if you can take the complaint out with the insurer now as some are doing this with various credit when the seller was not regulated at the time. If you can you need to write to the underwriter of the insurance and give them 8 weeks or let FOS write for you.
