Changing my number

Hi,

Im wanting to change my landline number does anyone know how you go about doing this, and also how much it would cost. I'm currently with BT

    I did this recently as I moved into a new house and the previous owner had not used her line in several months so cancelled it. BT gave me the same old number as her, so I called up and got it changed free of charge. Took about 3 days from what I remember.
