If it's plantar faciitis (i'm waiting on a pdiatry appt for this) then my foot saver tip is to wear slippers with support round the house isntead of going barefoot. Do the exercises too, they do help. I wear sandals in the hosue that have shaping round my inner arch, and that really helps. Some days though I get out of bed and shuffle down the stairs like an 80yo even though I'm not 40 yet!Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

My husband had an aching heel for several weeks, then the toes of this leg began growing numb. In the result, it turned out that he had a hernia in his vertebra and all these aches were symptoms of this hernia.0

Keep the insoles in for as long as possible - it can come back if you aren't 100% and allow your ankle to drop in. If you look at the vast majority of the UGG wearers (and 99% of the Primark type ones), their ankles drop in (pronate is the techy word, I think). They will be most likely to get this without having to exercise first. It's horrible, so do all the things right first - the Scholl inserts (£22) have been enough for me, or I wouldn't have been able to walk for months. However, I didn't realise why exactly it was hurting at first so tried normal cushioned insoles and painkillers. After a partially effective steroid injection into the side of my foot, I decided I was going to make darn sure I didn't make it worse.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0

Ice - not heat on the foot. freeze a small palstic bottle of water and then roll under your foot.
Stretch the muscles gently. No walking round barefoot. Review the shoes you wear. Should all be supportive / have something holding your foot in - trainers / straps or laces so your foots, not having to overcompensate to try and keep you in. No flats, court or ballet pump type shoes.
Good luck."This is a forum - not a support group. We do not "owe" anyone unconditional acceptance of their opinions."0
