can anyone help me with a lost folder in email

  • davb when i do that search it just shows me the default folders that are in windows mail and not the folders I have made

    Did you look in C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders\Inbox

    If you still can't find them, search for one of the folders that is still in windows mail.
  • ye just looked and it came up with something i couldnt open (FOL file) and a welcome page telling me all about how windows mail has taken over from outlook

    If you can't find what you're looking for in that folder, try Recuva.

    Yes, if your Recicle Bin is empty, you need to use unerase software, for example Advanced File Recovery on advanced-file-recovery.com. From my experience, it is a brilliant and reliable recovery software.

    Have you inadvertently picked it up and dropped it in another folder? Check all other folders, presume you have probably tried this though.
