I hired one of these from my local Morrisons a couple of weeks ago. I cleaned all the carpets in the house and even cleaned both the cars. It did an excellent job. Very good value, I think there was a special offer on and it only cost £25 approx for 24 hour hire.0

Hello
We hired a rug doctor to do our lounge carpet several months ago. We had a 7 year old beige carpet with ridges (dont know how best to describe them) that had never been shampooed and was filthy. It worked brilliantly and we were really pleased initially.
BUT...we reckon its got very dirty again very quickly, and we wonder whether the rug doctor didnt possibly rinse out all the shampoo properly and the dirt has become more attracted to the carpet. Also, we think we put the furniture back too quick as there are some stains under the legs of the sofa where the stain has seeped in  I'd wait longer than suggested if I were to do it again.
I know lots of people who've had great success with them so ours was maybe a duff machine or the carpet was just too past it.0 -
I have used them in the past and have always been very pleased with the results. However, I hired one from Morrisons about 4 weeks ago and it was an older machine; it wasn't until I had done the living room and dining rooms carpets that I realised I hadn't been emptying out as much water as I'd put through the machine. It wasn't sucking the water back up properly and by the time I had loaded it back into the car and taken it back to exchange for another machine, the water had soaked right through the underlay and even took aaaaaaages to dry!I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....0
