Maternity Leave whilst sponsered for my degree?

Hi
I am currently working and my employer has sponsered me to carry out my HR Degree. I know if I resign I have to pay them back for anything they have paid.
Im not sure what would happen if I was to go maternity leave? Would I be able to carry on studying or does that go on hold? Is it down to their discretion?
I dont want to ask them as I thought Id reasearch it first and I cant approach my HR department as thats where I work.
Any ideas?
Thanks

You would need to look at the T&Cs of the funding and if there is a due completion date for it.
I know with my company paid for qualifications the company have not stipulated when I must complete the courses by (but the repayment dates are calculated from the end of the course) but I must personally pay for any resits or additional costs incured (like moving exam dates unless it is the company that have made it impossible for me to attend the exam date)
Is your maternity leave actually going to impact your study? If so how much? Will you have to graduate a year later now?All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Im not sure, Im not expecting at the moment, but would like to in the near future. I haven't started my course yet which is why I am exploring my options. The course is a few years atleast and as it can be done distant learning I would like to carry on whilst on maternity leave.:j BABY A :j0 -
Hi Baby A. I am currently studying CIMA paid for by my employre. I did the first three exams in November whilst 7 months pregnant!
I had my baby girl in February and told my Employer that I did not want to study at the moment and to put it on hold as I am taking a whole year off of work and they were fine about it. They said that they would not put any more pressure on me and that if i did decide to leave they would not make me repay the money spent so far, as I had actually taken the first set of exams and was therefore making an effort to gain the qualification.
Think it could be a lot to do with their discretion and i am very fortunate that my employers seem to like me and are very good about these things!
