Advice needed.
Would like to put ceiling speakers into the ceiling of our kitchen diner before the ceiling gets plastered.
Does anyone have any recommendations on speakers? Not planning on spending a lot and would prefer to just put the speaker wires into the back of a hi-fi.
Any help?

Don't know about the speakers but unless someone else chimes in you could just decide where you want them, make sure the wires are in the right place and then research buy and fit the speakers at a later date0

JBL Contractor Series.
Loads on Ebay.0 -
Do you really want to put them in the ceiling? It may look neat but the sound will be awful.
However, hi-fi quality issue aside, your best bet would be to buy some speakers designed for cars - they will be slim, designed to work with little rear space, and will have surface mounting brackets fitted - all you'll need to do is drill a hole.0 -
I did this, sprayed them white (the only ones i could find were black) sound great.0

You will find a huge selection on CPC, lots of good looking ones in white.

from just a few quid. Note prices are +VAT though. Free delivery offer on at the moment until Sunday Midnight.
Note: do not buy anything marked as 100V (100 volt) these are commercial ones designed to run on a transformer distribution system and won't work on a normal hifi.European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0
