Does anyone know how to remove a ball point pen mark from a chocolate brown leather jacket?

If a visit to a specialist cleaner is needed ... any ideas on how much this might cost?

As this is the Praise, Vent & Warnings board you could either:

A) Be very complementary to the pen mark, saying things like "Oh, you are such a good mark" or "You lovely stain" until it feels so good about itself that it moves on to bigger and better things.

or

Go absolutely mad, shout and scream a lot, basically the opposite of the above, until the stain vanishes out of fear.

or finally,

C) Tell everyone on here that the pen has "Ripped you off" and it will never be seen again.

hairspray would work but may bring off some of the colour so be very careful.
