Bike child seat?????
Hi we are thinking of getting either a child seat
http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/product/hamaxpluschildseat.aspx?&id=1022
or a bike trailer http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bicycle-Bike-Cycle-Trailer-Seat-Buggy-Child-Children-RB_W0QQitemZ110441898038QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_SportGoods_CyclAcces_RL?hash=item19b6d9a036&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
Has anyone got any experience of either please as we can get either one at the £70 mark
Thanks Niall

I successfully used the child seat that attaches to a pannier. Make sure it is installed properly, as some folk have a tendency to put it too far back so they don't clip the childs feet when cycling and this can mean the front end of the bike can lift up very easily, the child doesn't even have to be that heavy to do this.
I felt the attached seat was safer than a trailing buggy, especially if you ever plan to go on the open road/country lane. The buggy sits a wee bit too low, below drivers eyeline and although most come with a flag they can still go unnoticed.
The buggy can take more than one child though, or a larger child, unlike the attached seat option.0 -
We had a slightly different Hamax child seat. They work well but you do need to be careful getting on and off the bike and it's handy to have someone else to hold the bike while you get the child out of the seat. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Get yourself on ebay, and look for a Hamax Kiss reclinable. Or if you want one new, try Decathlon, the sports store if there is one near you.0
