Best way to find good eBay Listings?

I find it very difficult to find good eBay listings, i find that im confronted by a lot of irrelevant listings put in the wrong categories, such as iPod accessories put in the main ipod area, or laptop batteries in the complete PC category...
Does MSE know any good ways to get better eBay search results?

USe 'advance search' features
eg
(egg, ham) - finds egg OR ham
egg +ham - finds egg AND ham
egg -ham - finds egg Excludes any with ham
ham* - anything beginning 'ham.. eg hamlet, hamster, etc
Can combine eg
(egg, ham) +coffee -beans -tea - egg OR ham AND coffee exclude beans exclude tea0 -
I just learnt something new (the "ham*" one), and I thought I knew everything:beer:. Does it work for words other than ham?:rolleyes:USe 'advance search' features

If you can then searching by keyword not category helps- think if you were actually looking for a laptop battery, you wouldn't think to look in the complete PCs category
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

Sometimes you can use extra filters to get rid of the dross.
For example, if looking for something such as a camera and you are inundated with batteries/memory cards/scree wipes, using the minimum amount can help. Or selecting auctions only.
As already stated, the '-' (e.g. -battery) works extremely well and if you think it may take a while to find the item you want the save searches are useful.0 -
thanks everyone, didnt know about all the filters -- should finally be able to find a good iPod to buy now
