I have both tupperware and lock & lock, boxes are in use all over the house. A great invention and better than plastic bags.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

I love all plastic storage boxes too! Mine don't have to match though, I just like any boxes! I use old marg tubs a lot too, especially for freezing homemade ready meals for the kids, means less washing up for them as they can bin the container! Though if I'm around I wash and reuse for as long as poss!

Never thought to look for tupperware in charity shops, now guess what I'll be up to tomorrow!!!!

Well this is a revelation, I didn't realise there were so many like minded people around. I think it's the whole organising thing with me. I have compulsions to write lists, to make things symmetrical, to organise everything from paperwork to food and to having matching everything. I'm going to go and see if I can get some more lock n lock and tupperware tonight and i'm excited (how bad is that!!!)

I used to be a big fan of Tupperware and it all had to be matching, however over the years I have come to question the value of it, it is so expensive and there are cheaper alternatives that last and do the job just as well. I find that Tupperware yellows so much with age and mine all looks very shabby now.

I had a thing for the lidded bowls, I had them in may sizes and recently threw them all away. I don't know what happened, maybe the dishwasher done for them, but I swear the lids have shrunk and no matter how hard I tried I could not get them to fit back on and Bolognese, curry and tomato sauces had stained them terribly.

To be fair, it is about 15 years since I bought anything Tupperware, however I am happier using the lock box types these days, rather than struggling to get lids on and off my Tupperware. I still have heaps of the large cereal type containers lined up in the larder, which I use to store sugar, flour etc, but again they're looking very aged, despite not actually get a lot of wear and tear just sitting in the cupboard.
