Buyers at their worst!

I received a question through one of my listings from a potential buyer in fact it wasn't even a question, it was such an abusive email I just couldn't believe it. They started slagging me off saying I didn't list my item properly, didn't include how the belt on the trousers worked that I must NEVER have been pregnant before so why was I listing maternity wear and finished off with saying it was ebaying at it's worst!

Then this morning I checked some of my listings and this person had placed a bid on one of my items  I've cancelled her bid and blocked her from future buying from me, can I report the abusive email to ebay?

For goodness sake do people just join ebay to harrass sellers?

Yes report her, these type of buyers are definitely some we can do without.

She sounds a little unhinged/ short of something to do - I would keep an eye on your auctions for bids from newly registered users just in case she's the persistent type !
  • Oh dear I didn't think about that! Do you really think she would register under a different name? I'm just so confused as to why I got this abusive email, she's never purchased from me before - what on earth goes on in people's heads

You know it might be hormonal I know mine were up the left when I was expecting :rotfl:

I wouldn't lose any sleep worrying about it but it's best to keep an eye out just in case (there are some strange people around).

I did wonder if she might be a bit hormonal - they tell me at work i was a complete nightmare when I was pregnant (but they didn't dare tell me at the time !)
  • Thanks. Although not pregnant I can still go a little mad with my hormones :rotfl:

I guess these things are sent to try us so I'll stop thinking about it and go off see what else I can sell to make some more money :T

Unfortunately not everyone is as considerate or as nice as you are. I'll just have to accept there are some horrible people out there and not take it too personally even though I feel like screaming :rotfl:

    Thanks for all your support.

I think it probably is hormones at work - personally when I was pregnant any "expectant mother glow" was due more to the fact that I was in a permanent state of barely controlled rage - more like a nuclear reactor about to go critical. However, you might want to check that the item is listed appropriately (right section, no keyword spamming etc) because it IS very irritating to search for something specific and have to wade through irrelevant auctions.

Thanks Jennifer, I did check the listing the moment I got the email and couldn't see anything wrong, in fact I only have it listed in my shop inventory so wasn't out in general auction release. I hate it too when you have to wade through irrelevant auctions because people put on certain keywords - does my head in :rotfl:
