Resorting to small claims

notfound
Hello all,
I am thinking of starting a small claim against an internet computer parts company.
They took my money (by BACS transfer as my credit card was blocked for a while), then cancelled my order a few days later. No refund.
They responded to emails for a while, asking for details of my account. Then they stopped responding, so I sent a recorded letter. It came back today, saying 'addressee gone away'.
The address is still on their website, WHOIS and Companies House.
Any thoughts on how to proceed?
Thanks,
nf

Did you pay by credit card? If so it's worth contacting them and seeing if they can recover your money.0

It depends on how much they stole. You can proceed with small claims online https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp and just use the address you have even if they pretend they're not there.0

How much money did they take?
You have to consider the fact, that if they have gone away, even if you get judgement in your favour, how will you actually get money?0 -
