Ebay Scam?

I am selling an amplifier on ebay and have now had three enquiries as to how much it would be to send to Italy. This seems too much of a coincidence so I am expecting a scam coming but cannot work out what it might be.
Has anyone heard of anything like this?

Thanks
Ian

I believe the postal system in Italy is notorious for not getting signatures so if its an expensive item I wouldn't send it and take the risk.

probably - they send a cheque for too much, cheque clears, ask you to send rest to the shipper [via western union], 6 weeks later banks says 'dud cheque' and takes the money back.
