Trust Funds - Help!

Hi everyone
My boyfriend has received money from a compensation claim which has been paid into a trust fund. I am one of the trustees of this fund. We are desperately trying to find ways of investing some of this money as the trust fund account itself (held with the HSBC) doesn't pay any interest.
We were going to buy premium bonds but you can't do this using a trust fund apparently.
Can anyone please tell me if they have any ideas of how we can invest this money. We don't want anything high risk & are looking to invest in the region of £30,000 or so.
Thanks in advance
Samm

Are you able to access the trust fund? Why has it been paid into the HSBC?We were going to buy premium bonds but you can't do this using a trust fund apparently.
Not really a great idea anyway. It's more gambling on a big prize win rather than anything else. Can anyone please tell me if they have any ideas of how we can invest this money. We don't want anything high risk & are looking to invest in the region of £30,000 or so.
Are you looking to invest - i.e. at least for 5 years, preferably more and has a risk attached? Or are you looking to save?
The problem may be the trust - what exactly does it allow and why was it set up in the first place?0
