Egg savings question

Hi people

I opened an egg savings account when the interest rate was 3.25% however it took over a month fo the account to be up and running (very disappointed with egg's efficency).
My question is how can i tell im getting 3.25% and not the current advertised rate of 2.50% - i cant see the interest rate on my account anywhere?

Regards

If you click on the link 'see historical interest rates' this is what you will see. Perhaps it's worth giving them a ring as others have said!!

Egg Savings Account (Internet) (with introductory rate offer) interest rates.

Accounts opened between the dates below received an introductory variable offer rate as specified from the date the account was opened. After this period the variable Egg Savings Account (Internet) rate is payable. Please see relevant table below for rates.

The 'historical interest rates' information is of no use if proof is later required where, as in the OP's case, the account is opened late (i.e. after the introductory rate offer has been withdrawn)

My 6.3% one is due to mature on 21st October (application made on the day of withdrawal of the offer - 10th October 2008) so, without the saved CS reply which confirms the fixed 6.3%, I wouldn't have a leg to stand on in the event of any dispute about opening dates.

Note that they seem to have recently changed the website and if you are logged in, looking at your statement and click on the 'show interest rates' link, it will now give you a (somewhat insignificant looking), line at the top stating your interest rate (followed by all the generic historical rate stuff). Previously, it just showed the generic stuff.
