Best places (online or instore) for maternity wear?

Hiya!

The missus was shopping for some maternity wear like bras and pants and pyjamas last night and found Mothercare and Bra Stop (I think!) to be quite expensive. I'd expect the maternity stuff to be a bit on the expensive side anyway - but can anyone recommend any sites (or stores) to buy this sort of stuff?

Also have a look on ebay i brought a large bundle of maternity clothes a few weeks ago there was over 40 items and i paid £33 including postage

Ebay!! My favourite - I have had loads of bits like brand new New Look jeans for a fiver etc. They also do sell new items like underwear and as long as you look after the clothes you can selll on later.

It depends what sort of style she is into, New Look is resonable as is Next and they also have a range at River Island online (not sure of pricing) and Top Shop.

You can also just be imaginative with usual size clothes. I actually bought about 6 vest tops (long line with lycra) from Top Shop in a size larger than I usually am and they have lasted me through the whole of my pregnancy (I'm 37 weeks now). You can layer these with cardigans, scarves etc for winter which is great as I tend to get really warm even now. Anything with lycra in is the key I guess :rotfl:.

Oh and Dorothy Perkins and H&M tend to do bits as does https://www.asos.com who have a sale on at the mo!!

Stretchy mini skirts from Primark (think they were £2 each) were great, and filled in the gap between ordinary tops and trousers, like those expensive belly bands you can buy. Second Ebay, and I got a couple of pairs of jeans from a Next outlet. Freecycle is always worth a try as well - lots of people clear out their stuff and give away bags at a time.

Edited to add - I lived in Asda pyjamas for ages - just bought a size bigger, the ones with comfy wide elastic.

Asda have a maternity range as well, they seem quite well priced

I bought a lovely dress from melba maternity. It was in their bargain basement section where you can get dresses etc from about £15.00
