I read with interest the posts about ebay. if a seller puts something on for 99p then it sells for £26 how can you possibly blame the seller?? As you can read from here its the demand on the market thats pushing up the prices and the retailers are doing so as well (most sites charge more than they did 2 months ago). if some parents need to buy and sell them, and make a profit due to other people bidding up the items, because there kids want other things then why not? Is it just sour grapes that they got there first??? its not the sellers fault someone is daft enough to pay twice the rrp its the person that bid that amount. This toy was reported back in august ,on websites and the press, as the must have toy for the year and toys are us were giving them on a 3 for 2 as well back then. I have to amit i bought my way back from TRU and the kids said they weren't interested in them a few weeks ago but really wanted a netbook. I couldn't afford one but sold the hamsters and accesories and bought one. Am i such a bad parent that from the profit my kids will be overjoyed on christmas day that they actually got what they wanted and not what i thought they would like? this happens everytime there is a must have toy.
thank you for reading my comments.

I thinks its the sellers that are just private sellers buying tons of stuff and putting it on for hugh BIN prices that we all feel strongly against, not the regular person selling of a couple of bits on auctions.

I have no probs with auctions and if I cant buy or trade some of the bits I have for the house which is probably the main bit then I will probably resort to ebay too but at a 99p start
 I love my gorgeous little girl

no balls, or car and garages (which is last item i need, apart from beds & carriers), or wheels, but they have some hammies and houses so far, i'll keep checking for you, pointless trying to get the oos items in basket, get the others first id u need them, think they stay in your basket about 15 mins before character take them out

Did they not restrict orders then?
  • I agree that there are some sellers on ebay being really greedy with there buy it now prices but I am a bit confused with the amount of people who are bidding "silly" prices for some of the stuff:confused:I am fortunate enough and started my collection a couple of months ago for the hamsters and now have a full set because this is what my kids "wanted" but I also explained to them that they only came from America and it was very hard to get them and if I could not get them then we would try again after christmas as I think the whole set came to just under £200 and there was no way I would be spending anymore than I needed to. I just think that some people need to step back and think before they put these prices in when bidding because if they add it all up at the end it is very expensive. And before anyone shoots me down I am only giving my opinion and have been following the thread since the start and also looking out for stock so I can post here to help fellow MSE's good luck with your finds:beer:
  • i am not business minded but i do read the papers. I thought my kids would love these but as many will find out after christmas they will end up on a pile unplayed with. I cannot afford to buy in one go (which is why i thought the 3 for 2 was a good deal) and for your information i actually start my christmas shopping in JANUARY in the sales to make it cheaper for me and so my kids and my family actually get something to open. So i am deeply offended by your presumptions about me business minded and making a profit on it. I am a hard working mum that just thinks in advance as do many parents do in this area as we just cant afford to do it any other way!!!!!
    :T
  • Character have now sold out of the items listed this morning
  • Right fed up now if anyone has a chunk to swap for my spare num nums tell me now, if not num nums is going on ebay and I'll buy chunk of ebay with the proceeds, this is just too silly!

If the site is slow and crashing, you checking probably isn't going to help!
