I received my order this morning, I have just checked it and I have 2 x items missing that are on the invoice included with the order. I ordered 3 x funhouses for friends who are struggling to get them and they only sent 1.
I have spoken to them and they are calling me back. I will update later when they call me.

UPDATE......Just had a call back from customer service and sending out my 2 x funhouses tomorrow. Excellent service, I would definately use them again.

  • Please can anyone clarify if there is anything special about the ball?

It's just I'm thinking of getting a ball from a pet shop, 1. it's cheaper and 2. it's in stock.

I ordered the surfboard and skateboard from play.com a few weeks ago. They let you order but it just shows as order taken unless it specifically says it is in stock (when it says 'usually dispatched', this does not mean it has any or can get any). So far, they have been listed in my account as 'order taken'. Now the skateboard has changed to 'awaiting stock', so they must be expecting some skateboards.

Look back thru previous posts as this subject has already been well covered.

  • I've ordered the delux playset thing, and two hamsters for my little girl - is this everything she'll need to get started? The playset doesnt look that great in the photo, but by its very definition surely must get her on her way?

I'm thinking if not, of either the ball or the car, which would you all recommend? Don't really want to buy her EVERYTHING, as knowing her she'll be bored of it after 5 mins!

The house is a bit boring on its own so you really need at least one 'add on' like the spiral slide, car & garage, and /or wheel. The ball doesn't add on to the house.

I got the hamsters for my daughters 3rd birthday which was in September. She absolutely adores them.

We got her the ball too and it comes with a little blue plastic 'stabiliser' which attached onto the bottom of the hamster before you put it in side. And stops it from toppling over. We have actually lost our stabiliser and without it, the hamster doesnt get very far before it topples over and you have to go rescue it. Which is a pain as my daughter cant get the lid off so it means i have to do it every 10 seconds lol.

As for the small ball, we have never put it inside the big ball, we just put it in the house and the hamster shoves it about with his nose.

Oh and if you have one of the little people garages, the hamsters work great on them. My daughters hamsters moved out of the deluxe home into the little peoples garage two days ago lol. She loves putting them up and down on the lift and loves watching them speed down the ramp!

    Thanks for this info Melfi

Personally I would recommend trying to get the slide or wheel, it looks like more for the money and costs the same as the car, the car garage, wheel or the slide actually connect to the funhouse making the house a bit more exciting. The car reviews say its not good on carpet, I havent tried it but I'm expecting it will go slowly on our carpet as its not very thick if you have carpet its worth considering if the car will be any good, kids are easily upset if something doesnt work well. The ball is great but doesnt extend the house in any way. HTH

edit just seen your last post, it is actually quite big, the house alone is 70cm long.
