We have one lonely hamster with no home ...........which was bought with pocket money (rest of stuff on Santa's list!!)
It doesnt move at all on carpet - it is normally on wooden floor or tiles.

That's what i thought - we are completely laminated downstairs and i did get a house from Hooray thanks to you guys earlier in the week. Also have a car on order - now trying to find slide - think i may have to get one from ebay. I have a 10% voucher so trying to use it today.
Cost of this Hamster Hunt (inc postage):
    2 x Num Nums - £36.70, 1 x Chunk £13.50, 1 x Chunk £15.50, Slide £26.89, House £25.94, Car £14.99, Ball £9.99, Surfboard £9.99, Skateboard £9.99, Wheel £24.19 TOTAL:£187.68

  • I wonder how many parents will sit weeping throughout their christmas dinner after they have spent £40 buying one from ebay only to have their child open the present, take one look at Mr Squiggles and toss him aside to play with some naff old present that Granny bought down the market!

Lol, that will be me im sure!!!!!!!! :o
Has managed to get Mr Squiggles, NumNums, A funhouse, A Ball, A Skateboard, an aqua bed, A Car and a Wheel. Surfboard on order from Play.com.

I have no intention of rolling up the carpet so if my children can't play with them I will recoup my money spent on the hamster by taking them over the local park and organising 'hamster races' and taking bets on who will win as they race around the car park!

All you need to do is go to your local DIY store and buy a sheet of wood to set it up on.

That's why I'm happy with slide, car, house and hamster. If she loves them, we'll top up after Christmas.

Last year we bought the full 'I Love Ponies' range. It was in favour for approx 3 hours.

oh well, at least I can get dd to play in her room and won't have
to set up stuff in living room - assuming anything arrives!
  • I ordered two surfboards and dome from House of Sher but have not received a confirmation email. I have not ordered from them before but saw the link on here and ordered from them.

Anyone else order from House of Sher?
Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.

I'm having weird things happen on play.com too - I ordered a num nums when it said 1-2 weeks and then another when it came up dispatched in 24 hours as did the car when I ordered it but now all 3 say 'order taken'... that's the bad one right? where it doesn't mean you'll get it..?

I wonder how many of our regular posters will suffer from Repetitive Strain Injury (work related upper limb disorder) from all this refreshing :rotfl:

I think i may just dive in and pay £5ish extra for a slide - can't see them appearing anywhere anytime soon
