Oh, no what a nightmare, you must all be really fed up. As I'm not viewing character, I just assumed you were all ordering but just experiencing some technical glitches. I've just been constantly refreshing play.com so I can quickly report any stock. For those of you who don't know, they have already listed the wheel, car and slide today at RRP and free delivery and the way the site looks now i.e. blank under each items name, was what it was like before the items suddenly got listed - one at at time, about 15 mins apart. They went pretty quick so if anything else comes up you'll have to be fast - creating an account in advance saves tons of time when checking out cos all your details / bank details are listed once you log in to pay and all you have to do is enter a couple of details, tick a few boxes and click pay. Nothing for the last hour or so though. Someone else will have to start checking soon cos I have to go out in an hour (and will no doubt miss all the fun). :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I am told that the hosting company is working on a fix ... so many people hitting refresh brought the server to its knees .. maybe my fault for announcing the time, but I bet that if I hadn't, then one of you would have started the jungle drums and the end result would be much of the same anyway.

I guess that when that first started, then there was no point listing them.

We can#t blame Character either in terms of capacity ... they probably pay for and have capacity ready for 99.9% of the time. No one plans for 100% availability.

Unless the host puts in a bigger server, I doubt that there will be any more pre-announcements.

I just got home from Toys r us in Basingstoke and they had a couple of 'Chunk's on the shelves. I bought one for my eldest but the youngest wants Mr Squiggles. The lady on the till said that earlier that day a woman had tried to buy a whole trolley load, but the store had a limit on the amount you can purchase in one go.

I managed to get the car on Play.com, and so far my order says 'processing' so I really really hope i'm lucky enough to get it.

Just Mr Sqiggles and the house left to get then...oh and the ball, and a couple of carriers. This is madness!

Very frustrating indeed! I can see the pages for the things, but when I try to order it, (it says "in stock") the tech difficulties thing pops up.

If it says processing, then you nabbed it in time and you should be getting what you ordered. If it says 'order taken' then that means you missed the current stock but that it has put you on for an order. Some people on here had stuff on order for weeks, and it did eventually arrive.
