Hi,

Just been to my local ASDA in Lowestoft and they have a quite a few of the hamsters all priced at £9.97 and at least 2 of each design. They were in the toy aisle but on a shelf crammed in amongst other toys. Thought this might be of some help to others.

I bought hamsters this morning in Wilkinsons (Stroud) for my children's stockings. They only announced they wanted them yesterday and I was obviously lucky first time. However, the shop had a shelf full (four different ones) and seemed to think stock hadn't yet been a problem....

I'd keep trying Wilkos and not be tempted to pay a premium. Alternatively you can order them at Play.com where they are out of stock, but saying 1 -2 weeks delivery.

The hammies are quite easy to find, the house next and then all the other stuff being quite elusive, IMHO.

I am desparate for the ball and a purple bed. I have a spare wheel and just reserved a car with garage at argos. If anyone interested in trading plzz let me know.

If you are desperately wanting a hamster, I wouldn't recommend play.com as their stuff has been out of stock for a while and they always put long delivery times on, pesumably in the hope that they will get stock in. Some people ordered stuff months ago and are still waiting (i eventually cancelled my order with them that kept showing as 'order taken' for 4 weeks). The other items on play.com are from associates and are priced worse than ebay.

Actually, checking now, they've removed ALL the hamster listings from their site which confirms what I said above.

Argos in Lancaster have more than 5 cars/garages available.
