I'm in Nottingham too - Toysrus do get deliveries almost every day, it might be worth your while calling them to see if they've had any Go Go pets delivered? I understand that they can't hold anything for you, but if you ask how many they've had delivered, that should give you a rough idea how quick you need to get there to get your mitts on what you want.
Last Wednesday evening Nottingham toysrus had a delivery of beds and carriers in - there were still plenty on Thursday morning first thing too, but by that afternoon there was nothing left.
The only other place I've seen sight of a hamster in the area is the big Asda at Spondon, Derby.0 -
oh for goodness sake! I just ordered a chunk from them this morning - I havent had an OOS email yet - when did you put your order in?I ordered Mr. Squiggles yesterday at 10.55pm
well i ordered after you so I guess I'll be getting an email as well.....thing is I could probably find one myself in the next 2-3 weeks and not pay the postage costs - I bet argos will be getting some more to reserve and collect. I dont mind waiting if they are definately going to be getting some more, but it's a risk they wont get their entire order from Character I would have thought.0 -
It is ridiculous that everyone is struggling to get stock and ebay is swamped with overpriced go go stuff .
Horrible to think how many of those "types" have used this thread to get their info too
i can understand people wanting to make a bit of extra money at christmas - but why be soooo greedy and leave some on the shelves for others. it had to be an ebayer as when i asked yesterday, they had all carriers in all colours and more than 1 of each, so a genuine buyer would not have wanted that many - i doubt. really cross with myself as well, as yesterday i could not decide whether to get them or not.0 -
OMG! Amazon are showing Mr Squiggles at £44.99 from elektroworld! How mad is that?!
EDIT:
Amazon are also selling Chunk through t s e for £59.99!0 -
Yeah! my order from character has arrived. i now have a bed & bag for each hamster & chunk arrived too!0

That has annoyed me now about spondon cause saturday morning i asked my daughters dad who lives in derby to go on a hamster hunt for me and he told me he couldnt find any, luckily i manged to order one from wilkinsons be now im wondering if he even bothered looking, he can be a bit unreliable sometimes! I will def try ringin toys r us, they are a fair treck from me but obviously worth it if they are having stock in, i went in yesterday and couldnt find anything hamster related, managed to get a few other bits incidently on the xmas list but no hamster stuff! i will def keep trying them! thanks0 -

I suppose the way you've got to look at it is, that everyone on this forum has had equal opportunity to buy stock when people have posted information. What people do with what they buy is up to them. Yes, some of those on ebay are trying to make a vast profit, but others, by the time you consider they probably paid the same as everyone else for the item, with possible postage costs, then they have their listing, buy it now, end, and paypal fees, as well as the costs of packaging and petrol to take the items to the post office, then I would reckon that most are not making much for their trouble at all. Also you've got to remember that your time costs money, so does your petrol / bus fairs going out searching for all this stuff, and you may have paid postage on top of the item price as well. And that's without considering the stress of it all. So really 'some' items on ebay are actually priced what you would have paid (taking all these things into consideration) anyway. And of course, you have to think that there are loads of people out there who cannot be bothered to go to the effort of tracking down things like we do, and are quite happy to pay someone else to do it for them. Anyway, just a thought...:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -

No tamlem - we are all mum's trying to help each other on here I like to think- who am I kidding?!
Far more galling a couple of days ago I saw somebody posting looking for hamster stuff from msers and I know they have an ebay shop (have seen them posting on other threads about it) so really hope they weren't trying to source stuff at RRP prices to sell from kind posters on this thread (that's not to say they were)
But that would really make my blood boil  - oh dear don't get me started I'll go off on a rant again!0
