Hi
Just had a call from Harrods London and they have all 4 hamsters (10.95) in stock plus surfboard and skateboard. Worthwhile giving them a call if you are interested.
I also have a reservation for 1 hamster at Argos in Swiss Cottage - expiring tomorrow. PM me if you are interested.0 -
My chunk does'nt do anything! I'm just assuming ~(hoping) he has been pressed soooooooo many times, he just needs a good battery!
Check him with new batteries. I received my Chunk from Cuddys and his nose didn't do anything. When I pressed his back his wheels went round but there was no sound. I assumed it was the batteries but decided to take him out of the box and put new ones to check. It made no difference and he is now packaged up to be sent back as faulty. Would hate for your little ones to be disappointed on Xmas Day!0 -

Hi All :hello:
Just been to Gateshead Metro Centre for Xmas cards so thought I'd have a quick check around for any hamster stuff whilst I was there to report back to save someone a trip. TRU had them yesterday but none today - they don't get deliveries on a Sunday, Boots 'might' get some at some stage but definitely none expected with today's delivery, Argos sold out totally, Asda taken the phone off the hook in that dept and don't have any stock - they said the warehouse was out of stock too.
Argos did tell me that they have now tried to go someway to address the issue of people reserving hammies and houses in bulk then giving the reservation codes away, or selling them. They are now checking reservations and any made by the same person / contact number etc will be combined and if the reservations exceed 2 hamsters and 2 houses (no matter whether these are on one reservation of 4 different ones) they will cancel them. Hence, the odd hammie or house suddenly appearing as in stock throughout the day - as they go back on the system when they are cancelled.
To those well meaning people reserving things at any Argos store for others use, then if you are doing more than the above, then you are actually not helping because those poor soles getting the code off you, then going to the store, will find the code has been cancelled.
I was thinking as well, is it fair for people to be reserving things just in case others on the forum may want them, would it not be better if you want to be helpful and report on stock you find in argos, just to post something like Hamsters at Wallsend Argos, then it is up to the people who want to reserve those items to go onto the Argos website and do their own reservation. Unfortunately nobody knows who anybody is on here, so as well meaning as passing a code on is, you could still be passing it on to someone who is going to get it to resell anyway, regardless of how genuine they may seem. Anyway, just a thought. X:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0
